This section presents a brief description about the project, its motivations, and the need for a patent search.
This section presents how the dataset was created, which data visualization was used, and so on.
3. Visual Analysis
This section presents the IP scenario examination via data visualization techniques, and a description of patents by "what they do", "how they do", and "how they are connected to the project".
3.1. Key-Concepts DistributionThis subsection presents the analysis of the Word Clouds generated.
3.2. Temporal EvolutionThis subsection presents the analysis of the Bar chart and Stacked Bar chart generated.
3.2.1. Bar Chart
3.2.2. Stacked Bar Chart
3.2.3. Normalized Stacked Bar ChartEmpty years have been stripped out from the visualization
3.3. Grouping and Relevance PatentThis subsection presents the analysis of the Directed Graph generated, showing forward and backward citation relationships among patents.
3.3.1. Directional Force Layout Diagram: Check it here
3.3.2. Relevant Patents
After filtering, the set of 33.173 patents has been reduced to 368 patents. The filtering has followed some rules:
- Patents with Year >= 2010 and the Number of Backward References >= 25
- Patents with Year in [2005, 2010) and the Number of Backward References >= 60
- Patents with Year in [1995, 2005) and the Number of Backward References >= 120
4. Key-Technology Analysis and Discussion
This subsection presents analyses and discuss the technology that will be necessary for the project to succeed, based on the patent review, and on previous knowledge of the area.
5. Reference List
This subsection presents a table with all patents.
